Does anyone have a good customer service contact at Summit that you would care to share? I'm having a bit of a problem with an item in their catalog that pictured one thing, but what they sent didn't match.

I ordered this tach:

and it doesn't come with the external shift light which I really wanted.

It says it right in the description. I would call them and talk to a rep. Sounds to me like you just got one that the light was missing.

Yeah, I called. They told me the tach was redesigned and it doesn't come with a shift light anymore. They claim their website has a disclaimer saying they are not responsible for errors on the website. Trouble is that disclaimer isn't anywhere a customer would normally look if it's anywhere at all.

I guess all I want is a nice discount on a stand alone shift light since I had expected to receive a tach with shift light for $259 or whatever it is... All the customer service guy told me he would do for me is to eliminate the handling charge on a shift light that I would pay full price for.

He also said he would have the catalog photo and description changed, but he hasn't. As of now anyone else who orders it will get as screwed as I did. Seems like deceptive advertising to me...

I would just return saying its not what i want and see if i could get it somwhere else.

That or call and talk to a manager that has some authority.Ive gone there a few times and done it and had complete satisfaction.The managers have the power to do something.Rocky

If you used a credit card,contact them to get your money back and make Summit send a call tag for the tach.
