My buddy is looking to get into a Redeye, new or slightly used.
What is the name of that dealer many use that was a straight shooter and has inventory when most don't. I know he ships cars all over because many use him.
My memory says middle America but not sure exactly.
Thanks in advance
Ron

Check with Brant (sales manager) at Laurel Valley Motors in LaTrobe, PA. I bought both my Challengers from them - it was worth the 350 mile trip each way.

I'll pass that along to my friend. He is actually in Arizona but I think when you're trying to find certain cars and colors you have to do some traveling.

Call Bob Fredricks at Kufleitner Dodge in Boardman, Ohio, he sells lots of Mopar muscle.330 550 5432 and tell him I sent you... wave Used to be Bosak in Merrillville, IN and Roanoke Motors in Roanoke, IL had the best inventory...

The limited inventory stuff is over. Local dealer has 450 rams and 200 jeeps in stock all collecting dust because they're priced like its still June 2021 and not the current climate. Find what you want and ask for a hefty discount, if they don't budge buy from somewhere that wants to sell cars. The auto industry is in for a major correction. I am sure you've heard of the Tesla price cuts? That's about to happen across the board..

I ordered a new 2022 Ram 2500 in July 2021, delivered in December 2021. The same truck is now $10,000 more dollars than I paid, and they keep decontenting the Laramies. This much inflation was unsustainable.
Mark Dodge has been the go to dealer on new Rams, they like 8-10% under MSRP. Assuming it the same for Challengers? They are in Lake Charles, LA.

If he wants a new Challenger, he either needs to get lucky, pay an ADM, or wait a bit.
If you go to Dodge Horsepower Locator you can search what allocation each dealer has left to order in each model. (Remember it is not accurate).
Some dealers are taking orders at MSRP, a small number at or below invoice, and most that have orders available are charging ADM.
There is a possibility that Dodge will increase the allocations, which would put more out there.
There is also a chance that customers placing orders will not take delivery due to interest rates.
A lot of information on Hellcat.org and Challengertalk.com.
Best of Luck

I seem to remember Dave Smith Motors being mentioned on this site.

They are in Idaho and have several Hellcats and other Challengers in stock.

I personally have no experience with them.

Yeah, Dave Smith is in Coeur d'Alene, ID and Kellogg, ID.
Heck, the whole town of Kellogg is pretty much Dave Smith dealerships.
They used to fly buyers into Spokane, pick 'em up at the airport, and drive 'em to the dealership for the paperwork & pick-up.
They used to beat all the Spokane dealerships on price, and are apparently mainly interested in sales volume.

Yep..
As a 64 year old Washingtonian I can attest to this. The most no-[censored] dealer ever. People fly in to deal with him.

They only pursue max volume for sure.
I knew a couple in Fairbanks that flew down to Spokane, picked up a 94 or 95 Cummins 2500 4x4, drove it back to Fairbanks, and was $1000 ahead of the best deal they could find anywhere in Alaska.
A coworker priced a Caravan from them about 4 years back, took the quote to a nearby dealer and Lithia immediately matched the price.
They are specifically banned from advertising in Washington and Oregon.
