I'm trying to figure out what engine this is from... Anyone have an idea? I'm thinking Ford because of the water neck / intake design.

I'm thinking it's for a Ford Y-Block because of the stacked intake ports.

From looking online, the carbs are vintage Teapot Holley Carbs from what I'm seeing. laugh2

'57 Ford 312C.I. 270 HP NASCAR engine to compete with Chevrolet's 270 HP 283. Wasn't enough so they went to a McCullough blower rated it @300 HP.

Pictures saved for later. I like to see and buy all of this old stuff I can get, especially when it's cheap. Circle car guys are often the best source of these oddballs.

As already pointed out that intake and carbs were used on the 292 and 312 Ford Y block motors from either 1955 or from 1956 to 1957 when Ford switch to the FE motors in the Thunderbirds and their other full size cars when ordered or made for a dealer scope
That also offered a Supercharged option with Mc Collouch (SP?) brand belt driven centrifugal superchargers blowing through the later model Holley 4150 type carbs up

Studebaker Golden Hawk used McCulloch superchargers in 1957 on it's 289 engine with a two barrel carb, and claimed 275 advertised horsepower.
