EDIT:I am definitely going to switch as I have had TOO MANY problems with napster and another yesterday.
So my question at this point is: Has anyone one used any of the many online services to transfer your playlists with success and no problems? (a two beer request) LOLOlder portion of post below I fricken hate commercials and currently have Napster ( prev. rhapsody) in the shop for quite some time. Their service and customer support seems to be dropping off which has me looking around. So, four questions, 1. What are others using? 9my current cost is 9.99 mo.) 2. Has anyone tried Amazon music? I'm a prime member so it's free but not sure on the content or longevity? 3. If anyone has switched between services, how did you transfer your lists without rebuilding them from scratch? 4. I know there are multiple services that say they will do so for a monthly fee that you can cancel once the transfer is completed. Sounds a little sketchy has any one used one with good or bad experiences? TIA

I couldn’t port heads for hours a day without Spotify in my shop. I shoot it from my phone to shop stereo.

Since you said you have amazon prime try that. It's Ok. I use it from time to time in the background on my computer when I'm working. I wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't included in prime tho. Try youtube too, there are some mixes and complete albums on there.
I've never made a list, only played what interested me.

Another vote for spotify. I didn't have any lists to transfer, but I'm slowly building my library.
Two things that annoy me a little about spotify:
1) I have one account, but three different devices I'll listen to it on depending where I am. Despite syncing everything up, each device will do something a little different.
2) No radio stations. I have to go to iheart for stations and iheart sucks.
The factory radios in the trucks at work are crap (if they work at all). I picked up a cheap speaker and listen to spotify while I'm on the road.

LINKY I did a simple google search 'how to import music list to spotify' and came up with the above info. I've never had to import a music list, so, use at your discretion......

I've never made a list, only played what interested me. On Youtube, I made my own playlists. That was great for about 3 weeks, at which time Youtube inserted a commercial between every song. But for the low price of 8.99/mo they will make the commercials go away. Screw em'... My girlfriend has an Amazon Prime account, so I tried that. Made my own playlists. That too was also great for about 3 weeks, at which time they scrambled the song order on my playlists and also inserted songs of their choosing. But for the low price of 8.99/mo I can have access to my playlists just the way I created them. Screw them too...

Not really the same, but...
I have Sirius sat radio in my car. Thrown in with the plan, you get all the channels on your phone (app) and computer as well.
You get every station, plus more that aren't on the car radio.
Obviously you don't get to build your own playlists, pick individual songs, etc. But honestly when I had Spotify, I'd build myself a playlist and after 1 or 2 playthroughs I am bored with it. Sometimes it's nice just to pick a genre you want to listen to and let the DJs pick the songs...not so much work.

Man I can’t tell you how many songs are on my favorites but there’s a lot. Then I probably have 30 songs in my oldies and I couldn’t tell you how many albums. Probably at least once a week I’ll have the radio on in my car and-a song comes on I like so I push the button on my iPhone and ask for the name of that song while holding my phone up to the speaker. Then I screenshot it and add it to my favorites later.

I have Sirius as well, It has it's place.

I have Sirius as well, It has it's place. I have six or seven different playlists and genres. When I get bored with one I change to another or mix them. I had the same problem with Sirius, too much commentary and other BS. Over the years I've had several different music services some were satellite prior to the net and my ability to get a useable connection speed. I don't care what someone else's opinion / commentary is when I'm working in the shop. MUSIC is all I want to hear and being able to choose what I WANT to listen to is really good for my blood pressure LOL. I clearly remember one of the Sirius channels going to an hour long commentary on what is was like for the Beatles coming over the first time in 64. I dropped the service the next day as IDFC and am not going to listen to someone flap their jaws while PAYING FOR IT . I can get that for FREE on a thing called RADIO.

I like Spotify and the extensive podcasts that are available.

I listen to what used to be slacker radio The commercials are not to annoying like on terrestrial radio but you can upgrade to be commercial free. Anybody tried the hack for the free Sirius XM? The hack is you pay for a mouth and prior to the end of the month you disconnect the radio. Wait a few weeks and then hook the radio up again. The radio doesn't receive the shut down signal and continues to work. It is supposed to work from what i have seen/read but have not tried it.

Sometimes your kids can make you feel so stupid. I have my music going from my iPhone through the charging port to a RCA connection on the back of my stereo. Well I disconnected my connection to take some shop pictures a couple weeks ago and when I plugged it back in my music wouldn’t play. I bought all new connections and still nothing so I’ve been using wify and using my Bose speaker. Well my son and girlfriend are home from Colorado for the weekend and he hooked his phone up and my stereo worked. Plugged mine in and had nothing. He the proceeded to us my button on the side of my phone to turn up the volume. What an idiot I am. Lol

Sorry can't help. I don't even know what "streaming" is, though I hear the term all the time in recent years. To me it sounds something like kayaking, canoeing, boating.. Streaming is where you get your music/video from the internet.
