A guy devised this to level the camper because the fridge needs to be level. I think it's too much stress on the driveline. Maybe if he used chocks to hold it, then put it in park it would be better. What do you think?

It looks to me like the ramps are very steep, More that the driveway behind the rear wheels. So it would be trying very hats to roll down the ramps.

The top board of the ramps should lay over the top of the vertical member. The wood should be in "shear" , not the bolts holding it together. I'm no engineer, but that's the same thought I had. The way those ramps are built look like a disaster waiting to happen (to me).

It's hard to tell in the picture but I think it's designed that way already. He just has the outer 2 vertical members running past to sandwich everything together. The inner ramps that are supporting the weight are sitting on top of the verticals. But it's hard to be 100% without a better picture.

Yes, they need to remain level.

maybe it's just me, but i would have made those ramps out of steel, welded together, with rubber gripper strips bolted to the bottom. definitely chock the rear wheels, and if that would be a semi-permanent parking spot, i would think seriously about sinking some anchoring points in the driveway [front and rear] to chain the truck fast so it couldn't possibly move in either direction while up in the air. of course that's just me thinking. your mileage will vary.

It doesn't matter if the refrigerator is level unless you're using it, right?
Are they planning to live in that or something?

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for a refrigerator (not to mention the potential for disaster). I probably would have just found a way to level the fridge, or just put my cold stuff in the fridge inside the house... You really have to cool down a propane refrigerator before you put food in it. I am sure it is a temporary situation while they pack the camper for a trip.

Great point as they don't look like they are too portable or intended to be used anywhere but temporarily in their driveway.

Seems it would be MUCH simpler to level the refrigerator inside so I'm guessing it's for more than just the that. But it's hard to tell how sturdy those ramps are but they appear to be fairly well built. I don't see a problem as long as ramps are sturdy and parking brake is set.
Facts are stubborn things.
