Seems to work ok. I think the choke function is not as effective but I probably won't be driving much in weather below 32F so probably not an issue.

Started with 0.55, then 0.70, now .063...

Mostly to see if it would work. But honestly this is not even close to my worst/best idea...

My question is why ?

All that work and time on the 1407/1411 for what gains honestly - Subject has been beat to death on every Mopar site on the web

And the reasons have been stated over and over and over

So many better options

The Edelbrock AVS 2 is one hundred times better in every aspect right out of the box

First time I heard you say anything negative about those 1407s

This time I am using a 1406 it does not have the off idle lean spot. In the past the I made the 1407 work "ok" by making a really crude modification to the transfer slot using a jigsaw blade... but it was never really right.

i've never experienced the "off idle" lean spot with a 1407, and i've really leaned them up before; shruggy. something i don't and never do is the big squirter thing. i use the correct accelerator pump and have the pump rod in the top hole. my experience has always been very smooth operation, even with bad calibration.
