on one of my cars i put the bars on the wrong sides. did this about 21yrs ago and why i don't have a clue; they were clearly marked left and right. anyhow, the car drives ok; pretty stupid in first gear if i open the carbs up, so can i swap them to their correct position and be ok or need new ones? about 23,000 miles on them. would the bars being on the wrong side cause the car to drift to the left at full throttle in 1st gear? i'm not opposed to buying new bars but i can't seem to find any .92" bars right now. so what do you think?

Were they new when installed back then, or installed used opposite side?

If they were installed on the wrong side when new, I suspect you will be OK, they hadn't taken a spring set at that point. Switching them now will likely result in broken bars because you will be twisting the other direction. I would have thought an issue with the swapped torsion bars would have shown up a long time ago.

The torsion bars are simply the front springs on your Mopar, an issue with the torsion bars would be front suspension related, and more likely front suspension height related. Under full throttle, the front suspension is likely partially unloaded. I don't see the swapped torsion bars being the cause of the drift towards the left under full acceleration, I would be looking at something moving, or not aligned in the rear suspension causing that.
