I turned The Big Six Five last week so I bought my wife a car for my birthday. Lol.

Our 05 300C has served us well. 211,000 miles with minimal TLC and still runs great but the rust worm is really taking its toll.

I wanted another 300C but there is just NOTHING out there that anyone with any common sense would consider. If mine wasn't rusty I could get more than I paid for it 8 years ago with 60,000 miles on it.

Enter a previously enjoyed 2010 Lexus LS 460 AWD... Clean, 110K, $14.5K CDN, taxes in.

In keeping with Feets contention that there are no cheap used luxury cars, what potential disasters have I opened myself up for? We had an LS400 before the 300C and it was a painless experience and it had over 250K when I bought it albeit for 10% of the price...

I think Lexus is the exception.

Check out the Edmunds link, I think you stole this one. Congratulations!

One of the most reliable cars on the road, it'll be fine.

I bought a cherry GX470 last year. By cherry, I mean damn near mint. Thing rides fantastic, looks great and has a long life ahead of it. You will be pleased with what you bought, assuming it has been properly cared for.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

I am so far. The car fax that came with it shows mostly dealer servicing.

I only had a few days to find something and internet Lexus horror stories compared to BMW and Mercedes are almost non existent so I added that up with my previous experience and hoped for the best. It's an air ride car so I was concerned about that a little. Cam chain now instead of a belt and no resulting tensioner issues so that was a plus I think but then I discover it uses a combination of port and direct fuel injection. Not sure about long-term reliability with that but again no Google explosion when you do a search.

We really like our 2011 Lexus LS 460 AWD, it just turned 87,000 miles. We have only had one issue. The trunk lid lift and lowering motor works sometimes and doesn't sometimes. They have looked at it and recommend replacing the motor at a quoted price of $4500. So far we are just living with the issue.

Ours is black out and black leather inside. Lexus is currently replacing, piece by piece as they come available, all the plastic interior parts as there was a recall do to the parts becoming sticky....not on ours, but they are replacing them anyways.

As for the price you got it for.....great score! Last year Lexus offer us $32,500 for ours.
