The wife and i both vaxxed 2 X So far OK, My brother and his wife blew off the Vax and both got is pretty bad apparently the original strain (19). he's doing OK but about 80%. I was like why the h-ll didn't they test her at the same time he was. they said a shortage of kits ? W-F0
they live in Grass Valley ca. Wouldn't think there would be shortage of test kits not to mention He's positive, They obviously live in the same house, she had symptoms but they said it was likely just a cold and didn't test her. About 2 weeks later they finally tested her and the Dr's office didn't notify her for 5 DAYS that she was positive She's much worse as she waited too long . She is in week 4 and better but very weak realcrazy shruggy

I too had not been sick in years. The whole social dstancing and hand washing and hand sanitizer everywhere I'm sure has helped us all.

Kinda sad how this became so politicized. And still seems odd to hear people say "so and so still got it even though vaccinated". The purpose of the vaccine is not that it makes a person bullet proof, just that when/if you get it your body has "seen" it before and can respond according without "over reacting" - Cytokine storm.

I personally don't care if a person decides to get vaccinated or not. Personal choice. Myself, I've worked WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY too hard that any help I can get to not DIE I'll take.

Again, look up the CRSPR documentaries on Youtube. Most fascinating medical breakthoughs ever and not some "mad science" vaccines like the ones we were given and WILLINGLY stood in line to get, as kids.

We've had it 3x now. First time was mid-Feb. 2020 (before anybody in the US had it..............supposedly), then we all got Delta last summer in early Aug. - WE FELT LIKE CRAP for 2 weeks ea! Then in November, one of my daughters got the Omicron - REALLY bad sore throat, low grade fever, feeling crappy - but not as bad as the Delta - none of the rest of us caught it from her. Then about 5 weeks ago, we all got Omicron AGAIN! Mine felt like a bad cold with a low grade fever for 4 days. Did not lose our smell or taste, a little cough but no real chest congestion, headaches, body aches, runny nose & sneezing. We all got over that. For the Delta & this last time around, I self-treated with Ivermectin, zinc, Quercetin, & various vitamins. Ivermectin definitely helps. We have not been vaxxxxxxxed. We know LOTS of people who have gotten Covid at least once, & some 2-3x & they are fully vaxxxed. The vaccines do not help at all I'm convinced.

The other thing that is quite peculiar, is once you've had it, you do not seem to be much immune to getting it again. They did a GREAT job engineering this virus! Totally successful!

You'd KNOW it if you had it. Trust me smile I bet you have had a dozen "clot shots" in your life.

Gonna guess that would depend on the 'strain" you had. I had back surgery in Dec '20 so I was required to get the test, they also tested for anti-bodies. I was told that test showed I had Covid at some point.... I said you would have to explain when because I never recall feeling sick...at all!

Since then the wife and I have done a few trips including Vegas,Yellowstone,Deadwood, Pigeon Forge and recently the Kentucky Derby where we were shoulder to shoulder with 100k people......zero issues.

I am an instructor at a tech college and see anywhere from 20 to 60 people everyday....zero issues

Wife and I are both 60 years old and in decent health......no vaccinations.

I've had lots of close calls. My nephew and his wife were over visiting last year, I sat right next to them in my camper chatting for 30 minutes. 4 days later, they were both in the hospital with it. Most of the people in my office had it, my son had it. On Easter this year, we were over at my sister in laws, spent the day in their house, ate together, shook hands with him, hugged her, 2 days later they were sick with it.
Either I'm lucky, strong, or the shots are working. Very sadly, I know a few who have died from it.

DM, hang in there, get well!

I got double vaxed and boosted early on. Came off the road in late March 2022 and had a scratchy throat and a 102 fever that came on quickly. Took a couple of ibuprofen and slept for about 10 hours. Fever went away and just had a slight cough for a few days. I've been much sicker in the past with the traditional flu/cold.

My wife had the same symptoms as you. Did not test. No point really she had it. Felt really bad for about two weeks then fair for two more. I lived in same house and never caught it. Neither vaxxed. Never will be. I’ve got a Dr., a PA and a RN in the family that say the vaccine is worse than the shot. I had a friend die with heart problems after he was vaxxed. Symptoms , treatments and deaths are so varied on this virus, it impossible to predict. On thing for sure, if the vaccine worked, the pandemic would be over. Good luck, Jim. It’s not fun running a business like yours and being sick. Hope you feel better soon. I’d be in the same boat.

If I had to bet the farm, I'd say everyone in my house had it in late Dec, early Jan 2020 before we knew there was covid. Whatever it was sure hung on for quite awhile. When I took the kids to the doctor, she said she thought it was a virus and it will just have to run it's course. We've all been tested several times since then, all negative.

They were in FL at Disney.
My protocol is staying away from people under 50.

Thanksgiving of 2020 for me. 17 of us at my small church got it and were all tested. 54 hours of the worst headache I’ve ever had, tired but knew I had to keep active, lost my smell and taste and it still isn’t totally back. I bumped my Cpap up from 10 to 12 to help with breathing at night. Never vaccinated yet and never will be.

I know people who have had it and said "No big deal". I also know four (4) people who died from it, including a close relative. The other three fall under the "extended family" category, too.

AFAIK, neither my wife nor I have had it. But we know friends & schoolmates of at least two of our kids have had it or tested positive while not showing symptoms, and this is a recently as last week.

Started with raw sinuses. Then drippy nose. Then wicked headache (like my brain is swollen and pressurized), body aches, fever, sore throat, night swets - like a BAD flu. But the SORE THROAT. Like the worst strep thoat I've ever had. Can't sleep cause I cant swallow my own saliva. Havent been able to eat or drink much either so thats not helping. 5 days in and maybe a tiny bit better - or I'm just getting more used to the "eating broken glass PAIN" when I do have to swallow. After a couple days I was really concerned. Made an appoint at CVS with a Minute Clinic because if you test positive they will give you a 5 day pack of government paid for anti-viral pills. The anti-virals are supposed to prevent the virus from replicating and thus ease symptoms. Let me tell you I can't "tell" if they are working, and if thery are and this would have been worse without them, I wouldnt be here!!! I've had Pneumonia a few times that was a walk in the park compared to this crap. Luckily we just purchased a new lake house last fall so I've quarantined here. Wife just brought me over the counter meds and food today and set outside. Oh, one other symptom; when I drove 5 miles to the drug store I wandered out of my lane a few times. Dizziness? The "brain fog" they speak of? I bought one of those fingertip PulseOx monitors that you can check your blood oxygen level so I didnt suffocate to death while out here alone. So far my lungs have stayed clear, for now. I read where people think they are turning the corner to only get real sick then, well..... Luckily my daughter is a PA so she's keeping in touch with me.

Worst part is I have a small biz to run. Not the kind of biz where I sit in an office lighting cigars with $100 bils. I have the kind where I work 12 to 18 hour days EVERY day making stuff, answering phones, running the biz. I am so behind and screwed.

Just curious who else has had it, the bad stuff, and how long did it take to get over it.

I'm not vax'd or anything but my symptoms were the same as yours. it took a few weeks to get over the rapid exhaustion when doing manual work, but at least now you should be immune. I used Dr. McCullough's home based treatment method and cut my sick days in half.

When this all started I just went about life as usual. If they had a sign to wear a mask I did and if not I didn't. Never got vaxed and never worried about it. My wife works with several high risk people so she got vaxed and boosted.

Two days after Christmas I got a headache, sinus congestion, a little blood when I blew my nose, felt tired and had a fever for a day and half. All the symptoms of a sinus infection and figured no big deal. Never thought it was Corona Virus. 3 Days later my wife gets similar symptoms. She wanted to get tested so we did and tested positive. My son also got it. He and I felt better faster and had lesser symptoms even though we weren't vaxed than my wife who was.

I figured at least I get a week off work, first week in January, but I'm a state employee and our state went back to the old criteria of 24 hours after the fever is gone it's back to work.

I will say that the sinus congestion stuck around for about a month longer than a sinus infection usually causes it to.

I have had dozens of students tell me they had it and only 1 had serious problems. Vaxed or un-vaxed didn't seem to make a difference. I think that there are underlying situations that make some people more susceptible, but nobody knows what they are.

Hope you get feeling better fast. up

I've had it and don’t recommend it. The initial hit was similar to the flu (muscle aches fever) lasted about 24hrs but the brain fog was relentless. Since then (march of '20) my ambition, cognizant functions, sleep have all been negatively effected. Where once I could have a creative (complete) thought and then execute it now not so much. Even typing this I have had to reread to correct missing and incorrect words. I often find myself staring and my monitors, losing my words mid conversation and just being angry for no reason. It has ruined my productivity Its been an interesting (frustrating)14months.
Since having it I have had all three Vax's and after each one felt guilty for doing it...

Not vaxxed, never got it. Ran through both my sons' families (one family vaxxed, one not) with similar symptoms and length.

Depends upon one's immune system..
Had (2) close friends get it.
1 went into the hospital for 3 days, now home but can't drive.
The other 1 went into the hospital for 2 weeks, came home was very frail and weak.
Now 2 months later he has regained his strength back.

Just my $0.02... wink

Got it February 2 of this year. This was after receiving both Pfizer shots but not the booster. The way I felt at first, I just knew I had the flu. Lost my sense of taste the next day. Went to my doctor, tested positive for COVID. He put me on a steroid and an antibiotic. Felt terrible for about a week. Woke up at 3 am one day and was composing my obit. I started feeling better about a week later. My sense of taste came back within two weeks. But, the lingering effect I'm still having is a shortness of breath after minor exertion. I'm worn out after taking a shower every day. Never smoked cigarettes.
I had a stress/echo-cardiogram last Friday. The doctor said my heart is fine. Apparently about 30% to 35% of people who've had COVID report shortness of breath. My doctor said nobody completely understands why. Otherwise, I feel fine.

I got it in december 2020 lost my smell for about a month was pretty much the only symptom. The first couple I knew with the shot both of em nearly died from that, to date they are the only ones I have personally known to go to the hospital for covid or covid shot. No shots for me, no face diaper, no being anti social...

Hmmm, I don’t ever remember having any symptoms of covid BUT what you just described fits me to a tee. Very hot yesterday out playing golf and I would get shortness of breath and weak, cooled down then ok. But any exertion here lately I have to sit. Don’t think it’s heart since test show I’m open everywhere in the arteries.
