what did i miss ? i feel pretty good. went in for the two week checkup, and the doc said it looked real good, considering just how bad it was, and how much more than normal my leg bones were destroyed. i can walk around the house carefully, but i'm still dependent on a walker for a while. it feels really strange, no more severe pain in my hip and knee ! now if i could get my head "fixed".............

Good to hear!! Take it slow but do the physical therapy as prescribed. I've had both done - right side in 2008 - its chromium cobalt, and the left in 2019 - its ceramic. The feeling no pain right away is odd, but pleasant. On a side not, in 2008 they kept me in the hospital 2 days. 2019 was out patient. In 2008 I was downtown Chicago right on the lakefront. The night after the surgery every 4 hours I'd hear a "Beep" and I hit a button for morphine for the pain....... A big thunderstorm came through that night and as it blew past the city I could watch the lightning all the way across Lake Michigan......just after I hit the morphine button. Dude....that was awesome! Like I was at a Pink Floyd concert!! But seriously, wish you a speedy recovery and enjoy being pain free!! It will be much easier to work on these damn cars for sure! Wally.

Great news! But if you really want to be 'hip' you need to dig your bell bottoms out of the closet. You could turn your cane into a shifter for the hot rod too. And a bright orange pair of pants? You could really be a Beau Brummell baby If you just give it half a chance. Don't waste your money on a new set of speakers, You get more mileage from a cheap pair of sneakers. Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways It's still rock and roll to me

A strong bourbon drink will ease the head issues. what did i miss ? i feel pretty good. went in for the two week checkup, and the doc said it looked real good, considering just how bad it was, and how much more than normal my leg bones were destroyed. i can walk around the house carefully, but i'm still dependent on a walker for a while. it feels really strange, no more severe pain in my hip and knee ! now if i could get my head "fixed".............

thanks for all the well wishes guys ! i didn't realize my raggedy old a$$ was of much value here. really feel blessed ! thanks again ! as to the "head issues", not too sure there is a cure for what ails me there....... i have been doing the exercises that were given to me by the PT guy that came to the house, but a couple of them, i can't do too well because of my bum right knee. that might be the next "rock auto" part replaced. doc says : "NO BEER FOR 30 DAYS !!!!!!" a few buddies are having my share until then, so when the time is up, those guys are going to show up at my shop and have a couple with me. the biggest thing i have to remember, is keeping my weight off that leg when i sit down and get up. i forgot to ask the doc about that when i was there thursday. i have a couple of other questions i want to ask, and i have them wrote down so i don't forget when i call monday. i really feel bad for my wife, the BOSS, though. she has been hauling in the groceries and taking out the trash, plus other stuff i normally do. makes me feel like an invalid ! but like the old commercial on tv uset'a say : "I think i'll KEEP her !"....... oh, and crowbait, i have a project or two i just might try to con you into while i heal up.
