Do the non-HP covers has these tabs on the driver's side? I picked these up last week at a swap meet for fairly cheap. Anyone have a suggestion how to remove them w/o totally hacking them up?

If that cover was installed on a C barge with an HP 383 OR 440 engine it would have those tabs because of the manifold design , it's technically an HP cover.
They are EASY to remove , a dremel with a grinding stone and PATIENCE , then lightly sandblast the area
