Saw this at: https://moparconnectionmagazine.com/classic-industries-merges-with-the-parts-place-inc/

Seems Classic is bigger and sells the same GM line as The Parts Place. Wonder what the percentage controlling internet is with this “merger”

Anyone have any insight to what is going on?

Huntington Beach, Calif. (February 3, 2022) – Classic Industries, the recognized leader of automotive restoration and performance parts for GM, Ford, and Chrysler vehicles, is pleased to announce that The Parts Place Inc. has entered an agreement to merge with the Huntington Beach-based company. The merger is expected to bring the two companies to new heights of quality, exposure, and customer satisfaction while offering an unmatched product selection and customer experience.

The Parts Place Inc. has been continuously serving the muscle car industry since 1990, supplying restoration products to help preserve the future of American collector cars. Like Classic Industries, The Parts Place initially supported GM muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s, then later branched out to supply products for other automotive platforms, including early and late-model cars and trucks from American manufacturers including, General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.

“The merger of The Parts Place Inc. with Classic Industries® was the perfect fit to enable us to expand the restoration parts business,” said Joseph Improta, President of The Parts Place Inc. “We look forward to continuing to be the leading reseller of restoration parts and to provide greater products to our customers as we continue to expand our restoration parts offering in a growing market.”

Founded in 1976, Classic Industries® recently celebrated their 45th anniversary in serving the American muscle car and truck industry. The company is known as the undisputed leader in restoration parts for General Motors, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Ford, and Mercury vehicles. The company intends to continue enhancing its ability to supply products to classic car and truck enthusiasts with the merger of The Parts Place Inc.

“We are pleased to announce the merger of Classic Industries and The Parts Place Inc.,” said Jeff Leonard, CEO of Classic Industries®. “We have worked closely with The Parts Place Inc. over the years, so we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to join forces to better serve the automotive community.”

The Parts Place Inc. will continue to serve automotive enthusiasts from their headquarters and warehouse facility in Dekalb, Illinois. Classic Industries® will continue to serve the owners of GM, Ford, and Chrysler vehicles from their corporate headquarters and warehouse facility in Huntington Beach, California.

The two companies have already merged to become the nation’s largest supplier of restoration and performance parts with a focus on broadening both companies’ product lines even further. Consumers can expect to see a much wider range of restoration product offerings from each company in the future. Meanwhile, customers can continue relying on both companies to deliver the exceptional customer experience that enthusiasts have come to rely on, the service that both companies have built their reputations on.

The automotive restoration and performance parts industry is a rapidly growing market. Both companies plan for their merger to impact the industry in a very positive way. These two automotive parts powerhouses are poised to raise the bar and set new standards for the rest of the industry.

The Parts Place out of Dekalb, IL has good prices on Holley crossram carbs and hurst shifter housings that I bought a few years ago, they advertise on eBay and other places and always had parts in stock. I hope this doesn't mess that up... luck
