24' would be the minimum,,,,and should be fine.... I really like mine......with the car loaded,,,the rear bumper is toward the back,,,, I have about 5 feet of space between the front of the car and the cabinets....

bigger the better .. 24-26 would be the smallest Mine is 30 foot  (Ps, IMO you should not pull a enclosed with less than a heavy duty 3/4 ton Diesel either ) **unless you live very close to track**

I agree with the 24' minimum Even that's a bit crowded with my 64 Fury in it. Also, at lest 10,000 lb rated.

id think in texas you could pull an enclosed 28 foot trailer with a 21 speed bike lol.
ive got the pickup covered, although not pretty and not a desiel but it pulls nice. 3/4 ton ferd 460.
im thinking about this for several reasons. one so i have a place to sleep and bathe at the track. i figured i could take a makeshift shower in it. and then i thought it would be a nice place to store one of our cars in if i need more shop space like when i rebiuld my sister in laws tranny, i can fit her car in my shop with the other cars but it makes working on anything really tough.

"A" & "E" bodies do OK with a 24 ft trailer, but
a longer car needs that 26 to 30 ft length.

We have a 68 Charger , 28 foot and really need 30 ft when you add the golf cart and work bench plus race car and parachute, cant see anything smaller than 28 and if you like taking things with you, you will run out of room. John

I pull my 69 Satellite with a short bed Ram & a 24 ft enclosed. I have been on the interstate many times & it does ok, but I'd rather have a longer wheel base truck. Car fits in trailer nicely. Have lots of room in front. I'm kinda tall so my next trailer will have a swing out door at the drivers door area so I can get into the car as I need.

And from the rear. Had to put it this far back to reduce toung weigtht. It wanted to sway when a semi assed me if I pulled it up farther. Now its steady.

Another thing of note .. You really should call your insurance agent and check with them about what trailer and what you are pulling it with cause IF Something was to happen, it might not be covered

Are you using a weight equalizer hitch... they are
almost a must. I hauled my 26' with a 5.9 1500 for
5 years with the EQ hitch and it pulled great, stopped
great(both axles with brakes). With the EQ hitch you
can shift the weight around without upsetting things.
I used the 1200 lbs bars

No just a regular hitch. I bought a new distribution set up & went to install it. However the brake controller was in the way. I need to get that relocated. It will deffinately help & I can pull the car back up if I want to.

I have had three enclosed trailers so far, two 24 ft 10,000 lbs GVW  and one 22 ft. 7000 lbs GVW  The 1971 B bodys will fit in a 24ft and leave plenty of room to work and have a standard size cabinet(as long as the front side door is far enough forward) with a work bench top If your thinking of getting a golf cart then a 28 or 30 ft. is the best bet, buy the right size once IHTHs

Mine dropped 2 MPG but its still worth it cause it freed up a bay in my shop. I just leave the car in the trailer now till I go to the next race.

It depends on how you drive and the weight of the open trailer, I took a 850 mile trip with a freinds open trailer, it was empty for half the trip and we got 21.3 MPG with the air condition on towing at 67 MPH on mostly flat ground. I got 20.8 coming back at the same speed with a 1933 Plymouth 1/2 ton pick up truck on the trailer  The most MPG I recorded with that truck towing my 24 Pace enclosed trailer empty was 15.6 MPG or so, that was towing at around 55 MPH. I usually towed a little faster than that and got 12.3 to 15.0 MPG, depending on the terrain, at around 68 MPH with the car in it That truck was a 1998 1/2 Ram 2500 2WD CTD with 3:54 gears, automatic and 235x85x16 inch tires My new truck, 2006 3500 4 wd four door with 3:73 gears, automatic, doesn't do that well  Best so far has been around 12.8 at low speeds(under 75 MPH in NV.)

You will find that it doesnt make much difference with
the weight of the trail and contents(unless REAL heavy)
but the big front wall of the trailer is what kills
the mileage... keep the speed down and its less pressure
on the front and a little better mileage
