well, i'm sorry to say the sheetmetal ram just didnt do what i wanted it too. the goal i had with the EZ heads and sheetmetal ram were to kill some torque off. it sounded like a plan. i was excited about the plan. it would be great for street racing(witch i dont do) but not great at the track as i found out.

then for the past year i got all cought up in the LM1 craze. trying to sort out my 3 2bbls on that ram drove me nuts for over a year.

then last month, a member here was selling a welded up weiand ram, since i still had old faithfull sitting in the garage, i bought the welded up weiand and ported the crap out of it. i took out over 1 1/2 pounds of aluminum. yes, i weighed it.

i said to myself, i'm going back to basics, the hell with the lm1, i'm going to tune at the track with my best friend and track champion. we had all the carbs off during the course of the day, timming changes and anything else we could think of. we did this last weekend to with the sheetmetal ram. best we could get out of the sheetmetal ram was a 1.43 60, 6.43 at 107

another thing, 2 weeks in a row, the back brakes start dragging and basically locking up. i dont know if its heat or what but its the next project.

that car sounds MEAN !

Sounds like you have a leaky axle seal... getting
gear lube on the brakes.
If you are trying to reduce the torque you might go
with a digital MSD box

digital box? if it wasnt for cudabunch giving me a 6al, i would still have a stock ign.

i have cut outs on my car now but no good data if they help because i havnt had a clean corked up pass

no axle grease. the porp valve is right under the master cylinder in stock location i guess and i think its getting so hot and maybe boiling the brake fluid. maybe, this is just a theory. both rear brakes locked and i think the front right was dragging on the last pass

Whats your rear suspension set up, shocks and tires?

calvert front shocks 6 cyl bars, monos,caltracs and roncho 5 ways off a members car. why? what do you see?
