just wondering where to start w/the test light.

I have NO ballast resistor, running an MSD 6AL. Where should I have juice with the key just "on"?

Thanks!.....Shawn

The blue with the white trace and the brown must be splice together to power msd.

Basically the IGN 1 and the IGN 2 from your key switch.

Or the Dark blue and the brown wire at your resister

Ign 2 which is what you have hooked up to the MSD right now and is giving it power when you crank only.

You also need IGN 1 to power the MSD (when you release the key) and have it in position IGN1

The MSD is under the dash and I have the brown wire going straight to it from the column. The blue is running its normal path to the alt.

should I still connect them together some how? Should I have power at the box with the key in the run position?

Thanks for your help...

I colored the wires so you can read it easier. Download it as I will remove after a week

For a 72 dart. Good luck

I have to run out of town for a while hopefully someone else can help if you still don't have it.

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
