My guy who delivers along the East Coast is feeling under the weather, and he's been my go-to. The buyer is anxious to get the car (it's just a parts car) and wanted to know of any on-line sites that do this? I know there was some discussion earlier about a popular site (enter info and get transport offers) but for the life of me I can't recall the site.

Any ideas or help?

Jer

I've used www.uship.com a few times

Yes, I am a big fan of U Ship.

You will get a lot of offers quick from the large brokers. Wait a few days till the smaller guys see it and bid it. They are usually on the road.

I would think you will do very well with response being on the east coast

Just be careful using on-line brokers. Also, this is the time of the year where transporters are starting to get busy transporting to and from the January auctions.

Brokers are not transporters. They are simply people who have a list of phone numbers of people who actually transport. I would avoid brokers like the plague.

My last few experiences with that deal were not good; in one case someone handling the car killed its near-fresh clutch.
Two of them didn't communicate or bother with the scheduled time-frame.
The cars were shuffled, and the "enclosed" was basically a covered wagon the left the cars filthy.
In my case, I'm off the beaten path, so the big and nice carriers don't come near here.

Gotta be a private guy or someone with an enclosed trailer in my area, hopefully the OP is on/near a major route.

I should have been more clear...........avoid the brokers and wait for the independent haulers to bid. If you are on the east coast you should have good luck.
