I'm going to have to replace the lines and pan on my son's 08 Charger. It's a 3.5 and 42lre combo and of course no dipstick.

Anybody know the part number so I can order one?

Regarding the lines themselves, I'm hoping to make my own and want to do away with the quick connections on the transmission. The fittings look like 1/2 or 3/4 inch pipe thread, can anyone confirm?

Well this is getting frustrating, I can find plenty of listing for a dipstick for the 5 speeds but not for the 4 speeds.

The dipstick is for use on several years and transmissions.

Yeah I've found the checking tool as well. But it's not a dipstick.

Guess I'll get that and have another wall hanger.

Shop guy overfilled one of our NAG1's and the vent tube that's next to dipstick purged the extra fluid at first WOT so of course smoke came pouring out of engine bay and what a mess! Probably didn't have a dipstick which is dumb or didn't follow temperature guidelines. I'd at least measure what comes out and replace same amount.

Facts are stubborn things.

No pics but it's basically a really long cable dipstick with a short metric ruler on the end. You don't leave it in.

The pipe thread is the ports on the case. I made my own lines and changed the quick connection to flare fittings.
