I needed some motivation to continue working on my new 572 CID B1 head engine.
So, at lunch time today I went to Piedmont Dragway, NC to eat lunch and watch some big dollar, $20k, racing.
Piedmont Dragway $20k Door Slammer race

This track is only 20 minutes from my house, and I eat every day anyway! LOL
Fast weather, 49-50 degrees, sunny. But some wind. Track elevation 745 ft. Barometer 29.65" Hg

1993 Daytona, 5.50 at 130mph (1/8) 1.19 sixty ft (PG). Link to 572 B1 - Part 1

I don't regret the things I've done. I only regret the things I didn't do.

Packs, lights, margin at finish... The big money stuff is the deep end of the pool. Good luck.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I ran US 41's Twin 15K race last month after making 2 hits on a full tree all year. It was a ton of fun. They limited it to 300 cars, I think they actually had 225 or so.
