I saw a few snowflakes fall on car windshields in Fort Lauderdale in 1977 https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/w...rida-forty-years-ago-20170117-story.htmlsample quote What caused it to snow that day? Extremely cold air at higher levels combined with a low-pressure disturbance that created moisture in the atmosphere, the weather service says. Interestingly, the next day, Jan. 20, 1977, it was even colder, as the mercury plunged to 27 degrees in West Palm Beach and 28 degrees in Fort Lauderdale, both still records. end quote Doc needs to go hunting iguanas moving in extreme slow motion when the temperature is around 40, or below. The official “humane” suggestion is to drop dry ice in a steel garbage can then fill the can with iguanas and put the lid on. The carbon dioxide gas coming off the dry ice finishes the job. That is also the temperature when the really big pythons stretch out on the blacktop trying to get warm in the sunlight. ( the little pythons survive by going down another animal’s underground burrow) Whatever happens, someone will blame it on “climate change”

Gee Doc, for us northerners, when the temps "could get into the 40s" during the cold months, we shed our coats and put on shorts.
We worry about snow when the temps have been hanging around near 0 degrees and are predicted to be up near 25 degrees. pB .......You should see some of the natives down here last nite ...... Low 60s .... with their Winter coats on !

It snowed bad for me and the misses back in 2010. We had a Christmas break in Kissimmee for a month! Didn't have any cold weather clothes and there were none to buy at the shops either! Even with the heating on 'full-blast' the house just would not get warm. Everything in Florida is designed for hot weather not COLD!!!
Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero, thanx Horace!
There’s no point trying to fix stuff that ain’t broke,,, 'but if ain’t broke',,, you is not trying hard enough...
