I go before the board tonight to see if they will allow me to build a new shop..... I've been waiting quite awhile for this. One of the board members came out today to see what I have and what my plans are. He's the chairman and it looks like he MIGHT be ok with the size I'm looking to go with.............. I will let you know what happens TONIGHT   UPDATE I GOT IT... I can build a shop of 1080 sqft, that gives me a total of 2580 sqft of out buildings (2) the biggest in the area

Good Luck Mike Maybe the big Kahuna coming out for a looksie  was a good sign in that now someone on the board understands what you are trying to accomplish, and not just from hearing you speak of it.
416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.
11.06 open headers----so far!!

I got it.... read the first post.... I am a HAPPY CAMPER I can build a 1080 sqft shop added with my pole barn that gives me 2580 sqft of out buildings (2)... I am 580 sqft over the so called limit

Sounds like a dam nice "man space" your planning. If it wouldn't have been for my smaller shop already on my other lot, I would of went with a steel building Too. But, I had to hook them together to make it work.

Thanks guys.... time to build a new "man cave", I have most of it figured out.... sure wish I had more space already, but with this one I can have a loft in certain areas for some storage
