These last few seasons are so darn painful to watch. Im half tempted to cancel my Motor Trend on demand account. Seriously, how much more schtick can you make about Will's painting or childhood stories with Doug or Royal? The first couple of season of the schtick was funny and entertaining I must admit, but anymore, when the passive reference to Darren get's you remembering how good the show used to be it may be time to get back to your roots.

Anyone else tuning this show out? Mark is obviously knowledgable and can be such a great asset to the community but I'dunno, its just too much nonsense now at days - esp the silly cartoons.

I gave up on it a LONG time ago (like....third episode?), but I wouldn't cancel my MT On Demand over it. There's other (better) shows on there to watch.

Could any of you guys work for MW without punching him out? Good thing he writes the paychecks or else there would be a mutiny. twocents

My feelings exactly I subscribe to Motortrend On Demand for many other shows,

I have not watched Graveyard cars for a lot of years even though I really want to like it.

I like shows that emphasize tech, this is the way we do things. IMHO, Texas Metal and Iron Resurrection are probably two of the best current shows for that. When it was on I always liked Legendary Motor Cars episodes because they had a specific block dedicated to tech. If GC devoted more time to how you do things rather than the trips down memory lane, the show would be better. My twocents

I was actually thinking it has gotten better. I thought Mark had tuned down his "comedy" quite a bit. I've never avoided watching because of him although I do think sometimes he goes too far. An all Mopar show is so rare and I'm not going to miss out on some nice cars and I still really enjoy seeing them and the work being done on them. IMO some other shows are far worse with their flat billed over the ears baseball caps and non stop b.s. and same old builds just different cars (Chebby, Chebby, Chebby, Phord, Chebby, Chebby, Chebby, Phord).

Facts are stubborn things.

I watch some of their YouTube videos occasionally if they pop up. I lost track of when the new shows were on TV and stopped watching.

The show is primarily based around big block 70-71 E bodies and a B body occasionally mixed in. After a few seasons of the same stuff my interest dwindled a little bit.

At least you don’t see jacked up rides or air lowered rides on GYC. That is something you see way too much of on most shows.
I’m not a big fan but do watch GYC sometimes.
The best shows in my opinion are the now defunct Fantomworks, the show I can’t recall the name of about the Guild restoration shop in Canada, Chasing Classic cars even though Carini is sort of full of himself, and Full Custom Garage. Garage squad is good too.

He's just a goofball with a unique sense of humor all for the camera. I've worked for people way more obnoxious than that with no sense of humor at all.

I don't complain about Mark's antics, no other make of car has a show dedicated to it.

I see it the same way. The guy likes to have fun. The latest episode, Mark quoted a dialog from a movie that I'll bet MOST people would never get. It was Alec Baldwin from Malice.

Exactly, which is why I watched all along (and honestly will continue to do so). I just have no interest in seeing the build of any other brand, truck, Camaro, Chevelle etc. I may watch a coupe episodes of some random show for a cool mustang but unfortunately I take the whole Mopar or No Car thing too far lol.

Don't get wrong, I love all muscle cars, but I don't have enough interest in others platforms to watch shows dedicated to their restoations. I cherry pick various episodes on different shows which feature Mopars but that's really about it.

Anywho, I love that we have a show like this, I just wish there was more tech stuff to it.

Maybe its a case of having exhausted everything there is to elaborate on with respect to 64-71 Mopars and simply trying to find other ways to engage the audience (and if that is working for him then that is great). I noticed this in their random trivial questions during commercial breaks. It used to pertain to Mopar history and tech but now deals with older cars that were featured on their older shows. But after 14 seasons, I understand them wanting to introduce new types of material.

And maybe I am being too picky here, but even this new format seems a little forced. Before, a build spanned over an entire season with various deeper tidbits into the restoration process. Now, entire restorations seem to be crammed into one episode (which could work sans all the jokes) as though they are satisfying a customer's expectations of having significant airtime. Something that was pitched to me when I approached Mark about restoring one of my cars.

Again, not hating on the show or coming across as too critical (I hope) - I love what this show has done for us. I'm just hoping the show could ease off on the theatrics. It really has a ton of potential and I'd still ask him to restore a car of mine over anyone else.

Regarding the stuff posted on youtube, I watch it religiously as I do favor the older shows smile

And yes - absolutely. I think off camera he is different. I have yet to meet a person who has met him in person that has said a negative thing about him or his family. Further, he and Alyssa are incredibly accommodating and very engaging. I have heard from multiple people that they are very kind and salt of the earth type. Members of my immediate family have been treated like first class when they stopped at GYC. Not a negative thing to say about MW or any of his family on that front.

If I ever got to a point where I was finincially secure and did not need to work, I would seriously offer to intern there for free just to learn from the best.

I just record it, and FF through the silly "comedy" and any cartoon stuff, all of which is pointless.
Some of the movie trivia is amusing, but even the "facts" are BS sometimes.
Nevertheless, Mopars being worked on, I want to see it.
It's not the only show where someone's a bit too in love with the camera; heck, look at YouTube...

I’ll watch it sometime but it’s not often that I sit down and just watch tv. They do turn out some nice cars. From a building standpoint I prefer Full Custom Garage. That dude has some skills!

Have any of you heard about the dildo episodes?

Apparently guys that work there and that were not on camera took an adult sex toy and placed it in v the background, on tool boxes and shelves. This appeared in numerous episodes.

You tube has a highlite reel of it appearing on TV.

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

Again I don't understand so much criticism for him. YES, I could work for him, in fact it would be a dream! Working for a Mopar fanatic, with a Mopars only resto garage and a guy who obviously is a legitimate Mopar guy since he was a kid! And you can tell he's a sentimentalist by his frequent revisiting his childhood with pictures and returning and his friendships. So he gets goofy, big deal. He seems to have a heart, a since of humor and be a decent guy. In this screwed up world I'll take him over 95% or more of what I come across and again DREAM JOB working for him. He doesn't have to have tatts all over his neck and arms, spiked hair, stupid bball cap and other ridiculous clothing that's age inappropriate. I'd hang out with Mark and talk Mopars all day. Same for Fantomworks Dan Short but I'd take Mark first because of the Mopar connection. I think it's super easy to be a critic from the keyboard. They are trying to manage a business, pay bills, satisfy TV producers and handle all the stress with these and that's not easy.

Facts are stubborn things.

It is kind of amazing there is a Mopar TV show if you think about it. I figured we'd have a Mustang or Corvette based restoration show first due to popularity alone. Way more of them than us.

They seem a little lost this season. What they need to do is follow one car from rescue - strip - metal - paint - assembly - delivery even though that process would stretch several years. This season they jump from car to car to car and I sometimes lose track. They seem to be doing better tech wise, but they need to find a better way to deliver the content.
