I think there are a few here. Over Winter a really talented buddy of mine built a 1/25 of my Duster "back when it was famous" That inspired me to finish a Road Runner I'd put away half-done 40 years ago, and then a model of my old Q5 RR. Then a car hauler for some of my old promos, which of course necessitated an L700 for the trailer...

That is awesome!! Do you paint with a spray gun? I have multiples of Richard Petty cars and Dick Landy cars as they are my favorite drivers. I drove my Dart down to a show near IOWA at Fred Engelharts place to meet Dick and see the cars in person. Still cherish the photo I got with him and the signature that is in with a 1:18 scale replica car of his. Meeting and talking with King Richard is on my bucket list. P.s. Topside your car is a time capsule that me and other A-body fans love. Small car, screaming small block that gives absolute fits to others. I do hope you get the 1:1 car back out for others to enjoy

Thanks! I paint with a airbrush, used paint from MCW - https://mcwfinishes.com/ I painted the vette with paint from Splash paints - https://www.splash-paints.com/Nothing wrong with spray cans though - used them for years with very good results I went to the Darlington NASCAR race a few years ago and they had a great model display in the museum that motivated me to build the King's 64 Daytona winner

I built a few back in the early 80's when I was in my early 20's - have not resumed since but plan to. I have a whole bunch of musclecars & WW2 & later military planes waiting.

Y'all are building some nice stuff - and yeah, 1/25 is so dang tiny to detail ! There's a Mopar-oriented site - https://moparsinscale.proboards.com/ - with some amazing builds, like a '68 Coronet R/T with unbelievable scratch-built details. Also some big trucks - Petty's hauler, the AAR complete pit setup, etc - and some non-Mopar builds. It's been challenging to get back into since my eye surgeries, and figuring some upgrade details out as I build, but a helluva lot cheaper than full scale !

Also, what do we all do now since Fred Cady Decals are no longer available? Did someone else step-up on these?

I was active for awhile, but have not done anything recently unfortunately.
There is a Probroboards forum called Mopar In Scale that is pretty active.

I just joined that group, been getting back into the models a bit, especially in winter.

Decals? Keith Marks in Canada - easy to find on Google, etc.
Really nice stuff, including emissions labels & stuff like that. Some, like the V8W RR stripes, are pretty fragile, and all need to be trimmed to size, but the detail is pretty amazing. Just visited his site - saw VERY few decal sheets - nothing for E-bodies. Did I miss those?

Try this: https://public.fotki.com/mofobow/Plenty of E-body stuff to choose from, should be a menu on the left side of the page. There's also another way to search using the center folders He uses his email for ordering & communication, and he's been very reliable. Stuff takes a couple weeks to show up.

Just yesterday I got a 1/25 '64 Belvedere to build as a slot car of Jimmy Pardue's #54. This is the first kit I've bought since about 1973 when they were maybe $3. Up til then, I had built a bunch of models but didn't do any detailing beyond the parts that came in the kit. Crude, but I had fun. I took them for granted at the time, but now I think about what must have gone into the making of those kits. Before CAD/CAM and CNC, how did they model those parts and make the molds? The parts, mostly, were visually accurate, to scale, and fit well. How was it done, especially for just a few dollars?

Some very nice builds. I think my first build was at age 10 of a Hemi under Glass. Been building ever since. All my kits are still packed up after moving last December. I'm in the middle of oh, half a dozen or so with about 25-30 more waiting. One of my kits is a resin '65 Valiant I'm building a replica of my first car with. Another is a '69 Corvair I put on a Chevelle frame. Tribute car of one a good friend had. Finished other than paint. Maybe I'll dig them out this fall. Tim

Once again thank you all for sharing. I appreciate it greatly gtx6970 I have never seen or knew they made that translucent Big John Mazmanian model. Incredible Sunroofcuda that Roadrunner reminds me of the car I had the opportunity to buy back in the late 80's. Same color. The 1:1 had a 383, 4 speed with that awesome coyote duster aircleaner. My dad wouldn't front me the $800 asking price as he said I would kill myself in it. Alas I got a 74 Vega.

Wow, you guys do outstanding work...
..yeah, I spend time building WW2 aircraft kits in the winter time, unless I am too busy with cars...
Usually I lean towards 1/72 scale.. but I upgraded to 1/32 and invested in an airbrush - best thing I ever did... My first airbrush work was with this German Junkers Ju-88 dive bomber for an exhibit at our local aviation museum..
Fun stuff..
