Chris loves having fun with his stuff. There are too many people with too much pride to drive a worn out car. For them, it is a shameful thing to be seen in a beat down car. That is a sad thing. Driving a car with battle scars is very liberating. It takes you back to being a young enthusiast where the thrill of the performance trumped the "thrill" of sitting in a lawn chair hoping to score a $4 trophy at the end of the car show.
I've tried to include a "Ratty but running" category at our local Mopar show but I keep getting vetoed by a crusty curmudgeon that ironically, never owned a real nice car.

I love how its junk because the numbers were thief'd off it. Its coronet body double is probably on the same property laugh2

The thing I thought was odd, was the fact the car is so stripped, yet the engine and drive train were untouched. I'm sure it was set up for a good youtube video. Still fun to watch.

Add a 4 point roll cage, and some sheet metal over the door openings and it looks about like our 1st dirt track car! Ours was a 69 383 4 speed Road Runner in about the same shape, I bought our RR off a guy at a gas station for $150 in 1976, drove it home, sold off everything I could. Went to the track with enough money left over in my pocket to pay for the pit pass. We ended up finishing in 8th place in the semi feather, paid $40! Probably the only time in all those years of racing I was money ahead! LOL!

One of the guys had a friend that owned a farm. He left us "test" the car in one of his fields before we took it to the track. That was great fun! Gene
