i bought a CAP tubelar early A body K member that was made for the torsion bars and stock steering box, it weighed 2.0 lbs. less than the stock K member shock
I sold it to Billy (RIP bow) and he used it in his 1961 or 1962 Valiant, I never heard how well it worked but it worked for him.

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

For a decade I bemoaned the fact there were no beefy versions of front HD alum big bearing mopar hubs offered. The Wilwoods IMO were only OK for drag use, but any car with big brakes ( high temps?) turning both ways was IMO on thin ice with the Wilwood alum Hubs. The Dr Diff offering below became available a few years back and are a nice upgrade, but we are still stuck with bearings hardly up to the task.
Anyway here are the weights for comparsion:

Those are Lbs and decimal oz total weight with races and studs

OEM hub 6lbs 2oz IMG_2296.jpgWilwood hub 3lbs 12oz IMG_2295.jpgDr Diff Hub 4lbs 7oz IMG_2297.jpg

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

In a track road race car, and wanting to keep a mopar TB front end, 1.24"OD B body TBs weigh approx 13.5lbs ea, I'm increasing the length of my LCA, and needed to maintain an equal wheel rate.
So I'm switching to C body hex sized TB's, and with a hollow TB to save weight and 1.375"OD, they weigh approx 10.5lbs. I'm built them myself, the nub is to be removed after HT, it was more of a hassle than expected to fabricate

TB comparsiom 13.5-10.5 lbs IMG_8456.jpgTB endsIMG_8458.jpgTB Stub IMG_8460.jpg

So if the title means saving weight off the front end, this might also apply, I replaced the ribs with 16g Ti.
