This is a 100% restoration motor so $$$ custom pistons would be overkill I have a set of .020 Jahns that I was intent on using but I am second guessing that now because of the poor quality fuel available now Block will clean up at .020 but is std bore now Thanks

Also, has anyone ever tried getting HEMI pistons and milling the dome off? Actually if your Jahns pistons have to much compression height and you have the crown thickness you could turn them down as well

AndyF I Win A Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 31,033 Oregon	426W pistons haven't been in stock for over 20 years. Just get 383 pistons with the pin height changed. Diamond usually only charges a small fee to move the pin height.

Not sure if I still have the list but you can always do a search. I know SpeedPro has them. Campbell Enterprises used to list them on their website at one time

This, the stock pistons are probably down in the hole and not really at what would be considered an optimum height to today's standards. Remember Chrysler overstate actual compression ratios

Russ - I appreciate the offer - this block will have to go at least .020 over to clean up - Don't go digging stay warm
