Anything over a 10 speed is because the truck has no torque...  We had one truck we serviced regularly that was a 998 cid Mack V8 with a 15 speed transmission in it. I would bet that truck could top 120 MPH. I never said they were not fast, but getting to that speed probably took quite a while, that is what torque is all about and you know it...
