Ok, I have to get new tires on the front of my duster, can anybody tell me if they've come out with a tool or a good idea for removing the dog dish hubcaps off my steel wheels. The last several times I've tried this with the screwdriver and rag method, I've still scratched my wheels, and sent the dog dish flying across the garage bouncing off anything in its path. Now that my wheels are painted all nice, I don't wanna do that again. Any help is appreciated.

Claw end of a hammer with some tape around the end, and the top of the hammer against the wheel to pry it off. A lot of times you can get them off by hand I find as well.

Somebody posted a picture of a hook tool that actually goes into a super small hole that you drill into the rear of the hubcap. You can't see the hole when the cap is on the car and it allows the cap to be tugged off without touching the paint. Looked like a nice idea to me.

I've used a brake adjuster without any trouble or damage.

I took a piece of flat steel and bent the end to an L shape.
