R.I P Mr. Norm I talked with him a month or so ago and asked him if he remembered selling the "MR ED" Hemi Dart to Ed Knesevich. Naturally he dealt with so many people and that was in '68, he did not recall it. Prayers for the family.

Wow, how sad to be reading this. Rest In Peace Mr. Norm frown. I know this may not be the appropriate time but what did he pass from? Corona, old age?

Does anyone have a link verifying this? There is a thread over on FABO that is getting kind of nasty whether he did or didn't pass.

So sad that the Mopar community continues to lose the greats in our hobby. But sadly, Father Time is undefeated and will continue to be. I believe Norm was 87 or so?
Met him years back at the CMC Mopar show when it was held at the Belvedere assembly plant and I had him sign the under deck lid of my then 70 Norms TA.
Saw him again at a Mopar show here in Indiana and he was a joy to talk to. He knew the younger generation was curious as to how things went down back then and he was happy to share some stories. Was looking forward to seeing him at MCACN this fall and I wanted to get an updated pic with him and my TA. RIP.

Yes he was 87. We are going to have a small memorial at the Indy Cylinder Head show next weekend. If anyone local around Indy or anyone who wants to trailer one down has a GSD car we have one slot open, let me know. wave

That man was the essence of muscle car cool. Just wish that his dealership would have be closer when I went looking for an M-Code Dart GTS back in 1969.........I'm sure none of his salesmen would have laughed me out of the dealership like happened when I asked about it at my local Dodge dealer. Godspeed Mr. Norm up

The Super Bee has "The Stinger" on the C-pillar, nobody knows where that car is today. In A12's picture I have been trying to find that 68 D100 Adventurer he is standing in front of also to no avail. I know it was at the Chicago Auto Show but was hoping it ended up at his dealership... frown BTW, the Charger 500 has been found, but not sure where the M-Code Dart is in front of it... scope

Jim I don't think "The Stinger" is an A12 Bee, Might even "Bee" a 383 seeing that it has what I believe to Bee 14" road wheels (aka Magnum's). On the other hand it's hard to tell if that is or isn't an A12 lift-off-hood scoop on it from the photo angle??

But for sure if you look in the lot on the other end of the showroom you will see this.............yeah I looked this photo over, and over and over many, many times scope wink grin

Yeah, pretty sure it was a 383, I have seen better resolution pictures of it. I still love seeing the Corvette that got traded in! In the famous picture of him with the Demon you see a Superbird in the background that was traded in, I wish I know what it was traded for!

It looks to be the Scat Packer concept truck, not just any regular Adventurer. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/201...ml?_sm_au_=iVVDWk0swfWV060TpKC3fK6JVNsBt

Now if only I could read the newspaper article at the bottom of the page. It might have some information about this truck that I haven't seen before.

I had the chance to talk to Mr. Norm a few times over the last 10 to 15 years. Mostly I would talk to him at the Mopar Nats or Chryslers at Carlisle. He was always very kind, and generous with any information or stories to tell. And I also thanked him for his many contributions to the Mopar world, and he was always delighted that people cared about his work. He was a MAJOR part of Mopar's history, and he will be sadly missed. Condolences, thoughts, and prayers to his family... R.I.P. Sir and GODSPEED to you. bawling angel

is the Charger 500 a factory B7 blue car? Or was it already repainted by the time of the pic? Looks like a pretty dark blue
