to jim fillmore at detroit muscle. ordered a heater/a/c rebuild gasket set from him and when i didn't see that it was shipped or any info on it, i messaged him and got a very nice response from him that he would be shipping my order personally on the 11th. well he did and i got it today. quality part. got it done and installed. if you need anything like what he sells and another company sells it, i recommend detroit muscle. super nice. dad and i will be going to indy cyl head swap and he is supposed to be there and i will stop in and thank him personally. thanks jim.

Whew. Lucky to be busy but this COVID is still causing issues. IF I happened to run out of a product or raw material in the past I could get a shipment within days. Now things are taking weeks or months. Hard to plan for that. I have been making MASSIVE purchases of raw materials, a years worth, but running out of storage space. Was looking at property to build on this past weekend.

Some of the issues....

USPS - A disaster, still. There was a national new story last week talking about mail still taking weeks to get delivered. We are only using UPS and not sure when/if we will ever use the mail again.

Raw material - taking MUCH longer to get. Months instead of weeks.

Purchased items - Luckily we make most of what we sell but some purchased items are backordered for months; weatherstripping, windshield seals, beltline weatherstrips. I've been waiting on some items from summer and fall of LAST YEAR.

BOXES! - Now special boxes backordered for weeks!

Don't think we'll be there. I'm not a chickens$%^ but I am 58 and would like to make it to 59 IF I caught that damn COVID it'd be COSTLY.. Just can't afford to be down. Working 14 hours a day 7 days a week as it is. Just not sure how I'd squeeze in a show. Don't want to have worked round the clock like an animal all my life to not be able to buy a house on the lake before the big dirt nap.

Plus I'd really miss the 103 temps and TORENTIAL rains of Carlisle and the TORNADOS of the Nationals.

I'll second that shout out. Restored an airbox for an 89 Daytona. Not kits available for that. Coordinated with Jim sending him photos and measurements. I received all the foam material, plus some needed to make all the new seals at a very reasonable price and time frame. Sorry, Jim for taking so long to do this. Been a while. I don't post much.
