Do you have a photo of your Colt - that might be as good as it gets for me.

Not sure where I got this, in case it has already been posted. Have wonderred about the car and especially about what the heck happened to it in this pic. Almost appears to me like the frame broke on the car as the rear wheels look torqued to one side, or rear-end broke loose then broke frame(?). Weird pic in any case...

I posted that one a while back, but can't recall which thread...something old race...anyway, credit goes to Drag Racing Pictorial #4 a compilation of Car Craft, Hot Rod, Rod & Custom Mags in 1971. Unfortunately that is the only picture in the entire magazine that does not have an explanatory caption with it! Almost looks like the rear suspension on one side broke away and the rear end is rolling out from under the body...

That Fred Hurst Gasser was a stunning looking car. I have a few shots of that one and the paint job on that thing was really sharp. One of the best I've seen as far as appearance from back in the day.

If you're talking about the 6 Pack car I have seen but 3 pics of that one and in 2 of them the car was dragging the bumper. One of the pics was in a recent mag article I'm sure some of you guys have seen. The other I think I got off an older post here and the car's on a trailer. What time frame did he run that car?

The car that really got me going was the Paul Rossi Challenger. I remember putting superstock magazine in my textbook and reading it in class. Teacher use to take it from me and read it at his desk til class was over. Wow I musta been around 12? Never could find much info on it, the current owners but not much real info of when Rossi had it. Seem like every pic had it on its bumper. Man I loved that car! These pics really take me back.
MoparDave...I'm with you on that one!! I would stare at that pict for what seemed like hours...too cool!! I had that pict under a piece of plexiglass on my desk at home and would gawk at it while trying to do homework
