I know 2 carbs can be a pain in the butt at times..tell him to put a good cast manifold, and one big carb on it and let it eat.. 2 carbs are a tuning nightmare.. I told Kenny to come over to the Classic in Columbus next month and we can have some match races..That will most likely be my first time out with mine this year..would be alot of fun..

I would love to race on a good track like Norwalk plus be with all you mopar lovers out that way.Kenny
The street assassin class is gonna be a weekly type race, must have 10.5 tires and stock frame rails. The frame rail rule leaves me out. Let us know if you come out to one of these events. Your car is incredible. My old tunnel ram with 2 QF carbs was one of the easiest setups I've ever tuned, but I wasn't tilting the car back like you on the launch. LOL

Thanks for the kind words.I've been a 9.03 and has gone 150m.p.h with a single four cast intake but I think it will go in the 8's now with the sheet metal ram.I hope anyhow.Kenny

carbs were pro-systems.brand new and car would flutter and carry on for the first 150 ft or so then take off like it was run into by a freight train.that was even remotely trying to hook.if it would spin it wouldn`t miss a beat.single four worked fine but would spin when you tried to use the transbrake.we were always fighting one thing or the other.now suspension is working so we can concentrate on tuning susp back a little.sent the carbs to prc and he said they were a mess.this was on new carbs that we had been fighting with for about 15 passes or so.two passes later on the carbs and they have been responding the way they should.send badazsmblk ,or mopar to ya ,or me the dates for those races and we`ll see what happens.
Jake68's brother had the same problem with prosystems carbs. His were brand new two. Except he messed with them for 2 years before he tried another set.
Yea I'm not real happy with prosystems.I had $2,400 in them and it took another $1,500 to make them right. But atleast it's fixed now thanks to Steve Taylor at prc carbs.Kenny

That front end has taken a beating under your dart and mine now and still works great.
Kenny, I was going to ask if you were still running the same front end. Glad to see that is still working well, it has been "battle tested" that's for sure!
Is it a CFE headed combo now? Were the W9's you had raised ports or std.? I they were RP's what kind of difference to the W8's?
One last question, LOL are you still using the Ultralink rear suspension?
Mike Gray
Hey Mike it's a cfe top end now.I think they make alot more power then the w-9's and they were the std port heads. And as for the rear suspension it is still the ultralink and I love it.The car don't twist all up because the bottom bar acts like a anti-roll bar.Kenny

What shocks do you have up front?? You really need double adj to control the suspension from bottoming out on landings, it WILL improve you 330 an 1/8 mile. It made a big difference on my car.
I just have the strange single adj coil overs.Kenny
DOuble adj will really help out a lot, if you watch a video frame by frame, especially from the side like your pic, you will see that as the car lands and the front bottoms out, the rear tire will spin two or three revolutions. Not a lot, but if you get a good double adj on there you can stiffen up the compressions to keep the front control arms from bottoming on the bumpers and upsetting the weight dist. I have Afcos, If you talk to mike at MR2, he will tell you the Afcos are not that good, lol THe shocks are expensive but worth it. Also what T bars you have?? the 318 ones are a little better to run in your case as you may not need all the stored energy of a thinner bar. Also dont forget that raising the car 1" or so up front can stiffen the bars a little and take some of the stored energy out. Just count the turns on the bolt, maybe 3 turns? Good luck on getting that 8

I don't have t bars it's a coil over frontend but I think I can take alittle bit of travel out of it . It has like 5" of travel right now.I'll just take out 1/4" to 1/2" travel at a time or just get a good set of double adjustable coil overs or wheelie bars.

ok, you got coil overs, they are cheap, get some extras that are different rates and try them thats all. Taking away stored energy and travel as well as controlling the landing will help a lot

be careful with the bars, getting on them too hard will put the car into tire shake, Well at least that happens to me becasue i run radials. You want the car to come up, just touch the bars and then come back down, all the while moving forward rather than up. You need to keep them somewhat high because a small tire needs a lot of transfer ( at least my opinion) Youll get it, it just takes some testing to find what the car likes
