I have a set of Competition Engineering single adjustable shocks on my ladder bar setup. You can bounce the back of my car like a basketball 5 or 6 times then it gets stiff. So I'm assuming these shocks need rebuilt or replaced.

What's it normally cost to send 2 shocks out for a rebuild?

I didn't know CE's were rebuildable. Considering the cost of new CE's it may be less expensive to purchase new.

I have 4 new CE's for my 69 roadrunner that were removed for AFCO's. The CE's never left the garage when installed.

I'll give ya all 4 for $50.

Thats a 47.00 shock noone will rebuild it Cuz its cheaper to buy the 47.00 new shock

If it was a lamb or santhuff or even a afco.It wood be worth having done BUT not for a 47.00 shock

Wow I didn't know they were that cheap. I've been browsing Summit's site and all the shocks seemed so expensive, but I didn't look at the CE prices as I just looked at my shocks 15 minutes ago to see what brand they were. LOL

I think I have everyone confused, I have coilover shocks, I think you guys are thinking I just have regular 90/10 50/50 70/30 type shocks. Sorry.

Bobprofab, get me a price on those customer shocks. And I'll call CE to see if they can rebuild mine or not.

Maybe you're thinking of the blue car Bob.

I crawled under the car and the passenger shock said Competition Engineering real big. Maybe I'll check the drivers side tomorrow. LOL!

Jeff, what's the part number for the $47 shock? I still haven't found it. That would definitely be in my price range compared to the others.

This doesn't look like a coilover shock to me. Am I missing something here?

Well the kit they come with includes perches for those shocks to fit inside the coil spring. Its a cheapy version of the coilover. I ran them for years and they worked just fine ...they are just very difficult to adjust. I have the perches and shocks from my car in my shed

...I'd ship it to you cheap. I was running 10.50's with them ...but I think I got lucky one nite and used some of the winnings to buy new QA1's.
