Looking for a power steering belt for 71 440, where do you guys get them from. I have heard not so good thing about Quanta but I have no experience with them. I looked at Rock Auto but all they have are the ribbed belts. Thanks

Every belt ive gotten from Rockauto are decades old or look like they were salvaged from an insurance claim.

Gates XL Belts purchased from RockAuto.

Ithey're about 25% the cost of the same belt at Oreilly's...I like Oreilly's and the Manager is a great guy, but I can't justify spending more money there.

I had a look at the Gates belt, question, are all belts nowadays the ribbed type, does anyone still make the old style?

Finding a mom and pop store near you may give you a shot. Or take your belts to a tractor/ lawn repair shop and see if they have anything comparable. ( not sure what those belts are made of though...)
