I tried to do a search but I didn't find an answer, so are the tranny lines 1/4 npt where they go into the tranny? Thanks, Clint

off topic but this made me think of something that I'd been wondering about & that is if the fluid passages inside the trans are larger than the std size fittings/line if it would be beneficial to tap the case for larger fittings & use a larger line to get more volume in/out. With different vehicles I am regularly smelling slightly burnt fluid even w a large cooler.

In the late 80s they were changed to 1/4npt and 3/8 lines to be compatible with the OD trans.
