I'm running a belt driven distributor, I could not find a disttributor hole plug any where so I looked at what was their for that other company you know the one and decided I could make one, I cam up with this.
I cut an origanal distributor housing down and made a removable top for it, then I cut the shaft down to fit between cam gear and distributor housing top, leaving a little space between the shaft and the top where I can add shims to give me the proper amount of play between the cut shaft and the cam gear.
Is this a good idea or over kill, or is their
a plug out their and I need to use it? any is appreciated.

If your not using the stock dist, I was going to get
a torrison bearing and put it over the OD of the bronze
portion. I was going to turn the bronze down to fit
the bearing. Then make a plate for the dist hole,
similar to what you show bur without the off set and
a threaded hole in it, threaded rod or similar with
a cup on the end to fit over the bronze gear (upper
section). That way I could adjust the movement of the
intermediate shaft

It would've been easier to call Mancini Racing and order part number AR221.
