Since last night the cat has not been happy.
Normally just bad rain gets her but when a,TS or Hurracane comes even if 60 miles plud or so away comes she really hates it.

nope hardly eats much she just does nothing all day and is old say 20 or 21 years old.
She even hates when it gets cold at her age. And we do not get cold no snow. Last snow was 2008.
But the pressure from a real Strom gets her and the neibors dogs bad just like they say. At 6am this morn it was windy and colder than the A/C in my home that was set at 75

Click the “Earth” button in the lower left hand side and a menu will come up.

In the Control section click the > button to go into the future as predicted by the GFS supercomputers of the NWS.
(land fall roughly 5 pm on the 15th a bit West of Biloxi)

Down in the Overlay section click the “MSLP” button and it will show you the pressure field your cat is sensing.

The eye should hit between Bay St.Louis and Gulfport.
I did a ton of work there after Katrina.
Most was right on the beach or inland from it.
Most if not all should have never been insured again by Home Owner's or Natl. Flood.
It is just sitting ducks.
As far as New Orleans the water push towards the North and push right up the mouth of the Missippi should be what I posted as max.when you also add in the rain in inches..
Even if so i am west of New Orleans with better pumping systems and have a higher elevation.
So even if the worse as posted in the news feed I would be close to OK.
But I did drop 120K on the New Elevation, Retating Wall and Back Fill, and Fence_gates as well as Flat Work.
And Wind Protection to 140 MPH.
It would have been more fun to Move get a New Home build the Convertable to go way over a,140MPH.
But I married my wife 2 days after she was 20 and bought the Home when she made 21.
So she says she stays as this is her home.
As,as crazy as it sounds my flood went down to a little over 300 bucks a year and the Home Owner's dropped as,well due to safer Hurracane Protection.
Add in that we put on all new Entergy Efficient for Electricity and Gas and Gas. The cost is Electricity 80 to 90 Gas 25 to 35. And in Winter 45 Water Sewer at 30 to 35 we can not live anyplace else for what we do here.
With no Mortgage.
Was thinking of Solar with Battery back up at one time but was not cost effective.
But didLooked like it would pan out to little to no real power used
Last month the bill showed actual 73 Dollars of power used. But after fees tax and storm restoration fees to pay for last 3 or 4 storms added it to what we have above is always going to go up.
It does not look like the cost will ever go down on Solar but the amount of power it will produce
As well as how long equipment will last is what will happen. As,well as the cost to insure the system.

The trend of Sally seems Eastward.

This is the prediction for Wed 16 th at 8 AM after the southern edge of the eye is on land.
Eastern edge of the eyewall is the most destructive.

Those west of NOLA should concentrate on what 24 inches of rain may do.

Huge amounts of rain could fall as Sally quickly curves Eastward and I would worry about those living In the valleys of the southern tip of the Appalachian mountains.

Lately, one of our kitts really freaks out during rain & thunderstorms. She cuddles up to anyone who is in her vicinity & wants to get under a blanket. She has never been this way until this summer. Strange.
