Now, I still had antifreeze in the car for that race, but it would keep the coolant about 140-150 degrees. You know how long it is between rounds up there, so make a pass and plug it in to keep the heat in the motor. Just a note, I got it fom a federated auto parts store for like 25 bucks. Probably saved that in fuel in just that week. Beep

If you have a coolant leak & it gets all over the track, it's difficult to clean up & increases the down time, due to that. It's kind of a racer courtesy.....no antifreeze at the track.

rebel master Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 4,647 aotearoa	i read last year a report that claimed water wetter was only marginally better than the tap water sample that was being used as the control. i witnessed a test my buddy did after reading this report where he put an equal amount of WW & 100% antifreeze into 2 cans. these cans were then put on a burner together side by side & the water wetter boiled first. not that this proved much, just that in raw form WW boils faster, much faster actually. made me wonder about WW tho.

nss guy pro stock N Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,443 central ohio	I'm no chemist but I think all the boiling properties change when under pressure. as an example nitromethane will not burn at atomsheric pressure, they put a lit match in a beaker of it but put the match out, but when under many psi it way more explosive than gas.

WW claimed their product was the best & named Prestone amoungst others. Prestone agent paid for an independant test & it was proved WW was rubbish. Very hard to find WW now.
