Built at S&W race cars, it has a Currie center with internal braces, these are 1/8 plates where the tubes join, they have a hole drilled for the axle to pass through, .300 tubes with a backbrace. Really there are no "ford" parts at all...LOL ,Strange center section with 3.70 pro gears

A real streeter-sleeper ?

How about a rwd Fifth Ave with a stroker SB...that would hopefully run bottom 12's.

Something that you could gas-up and click-the-cruise-on and drive to FL.

HAHA, I went the other nite to test n tune. There was a 5th ave there on the bottle. I saw him making some low 10 passes and my son came back to the trailer and said the guy squeezed a high 9 out of it. I didnt get a chance to look at it or talk to him but the 4 door was flyin...

Clutch's Truck is also a great sleaper. Who would expect a late 80s ram on a drag radial to run in the 9s NA?

This one was a real "SLEEPER" at the MATS this year.. He did a front wheel drive burnout, and had the crowd laughing..

But then he put down an 11.47 stunner..

They were cheering after that..

Picture was from Triple Threat..I knew I had seen it posted..

Tony's car is "it" for me... right up until I see the wheelie bars!

I guess I'll have to wrap my Challenger in Rallye wheels to get any sleeper votes around here... /

no picture I did see a guy at a show a few years ago that had a green/green 4 door 68 dart w/ dog dishes and a 451 under the flat hood. His exhaust went over the axles and turn out. He had a tiny exhaust pipe welded up to look like the original /6. The car looked like grandma drove it. Dude said it ran 10's...I though that'd be cool to do but with a faded out 4 door a-body.

BSB67's Charger. The most stock looking 67 Charger you'll ever see clicking off 11 sec. passes. I saw him at PRP and knew something was up when I saw the blue painted aluminum heads. Very slick!

I saw that car! I couldn't believe that it went that fast! There used to be a guy in Division 7 that had an Omni in Stock Elim (ran 17's) and I thought this was that car until the number came up on the scoreboard.

This has to be the best! There isn't a better mismatched looking set of vehicles I can think of!

Isn't it Jeremiah that has a pretty cool a-body with BB sleeper?

I had a robin's egg blue '64 Dodge 4 door that was a stripper slant 6 car. I so wanted to put a stroked 500 cube monster in it and go Mustang hunting! Whitewalls and poverty caps too...

Chris,
Do you know who owns/drives that car? Does the name Boyd Gable ring any bells? Yes, THE Boyd Gable that had the wicked 66 Nova on Mcreary's, back in the OC/LA street racing days. He takes that little 4 banger to Irwindale, and the crowd goes crazy for that car. If they only knew what a legend he was on the streets, in the late 70's - early 80's.

I'm in the process of building a sleeperish car. I'm going to clone my dad's 1969 dart swinger he had in 69 the interior and exterior are going to remain completely stock. Under the hood is going to be around a 600hp stroker small block, put into motion by a passon hemi overdrive 4 speed in an aluminum case. I'm having custom 15" wheels made to house the standard 69 Dodge hubcaps F6 with a vinyl top, black bench seat interior. probably going to use either a moser dana 60 or a moser 875 read end. This combo should get me sleeper status
