There must be someone that has put a 440/727 in a b body and figured out the linkage. I've been told by a local Mopar restorer that most of my old 318/904 stuff will work with modification, but it's the modification that stumps me. Could anyone please give me some direction? I've put pics below of each set of linkage. I'm sorry I don't know the vocabulary of the individual pieces. I've spent hours under my car and am frustrated to where I'm asking for help. Any info or advice (or complete tutorial, lol)would be much appreciated. As you can see on the 727 picture, the one piece was cut off with a hacksaw by the guys who pulled the motor. So if the 727/440 linkage, which came out of a 1977 New Yorker, can be used, I'll have to find a replacement.

Hybrid linkage will work if you follow the basic rules of operation; the trans lever should be full forward at curb idle and near full back at WOT.

The throttle bracket and rod that goes from that to the carb on the piece 318/904 setup is different between 4bbl and 2bbl and the rod is also different between type of 4bbl. The rest of it is the same between 904/727 except for the bracket that bolts to the transmission. I forget what its called (torque shaft throttle shaft or something?) but I always call it the pivot bracket. I don't know what changes between big block and small block parts.
