The o-ring groove didn't start till I think 69 , maybe 68 , on the prestolite housings anyways.
The orientation of the vac can means it's for a poly smallblock or early hemi

Yeah, the vacuum pot doesn't fit the era of the distributor and the location is for clockwise rotation (SB, early Hemi/Poly). Don't remember seeing those two casting "humps" below the main housing.
