I was in dealerships when those cars were current. Had a few issues, but generally were very nice cars. Ride nice, Cold A/C. Awesome, comfortable cruisers. I'd love to have an old Cordoba with rich Corinthian leather. Get the Lean Burn off of it and it's fine.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

IIRC, the fit on those is horrendous. A poor fit might be a lot better then a completely missing part. There isn't a lot of options when it comes to these parts. Gene

how hard are they to get off? if i remember correctly the bumper has to be off to remove them. i had a friend who had a cordoba and if i remember correctly they were good on her car. she passed away just before Halloween last year. she was keeping it for a parts car for her 81 imperial. i can check with her hubby if they are available.
