I like it too. I wouldn't buy one but it's pretty cool.

I know. It just made me think of the Brat. My sister in law had a Brat with the seats in back.. she loved that old truck till it got totaled So the real reason the Brat had seats in the back was to avoid the chicken tax on imported small trucks. I think the intent was buyers would remove and chuck the rear seats. Though growing up,I saw many of them with seats still in place. The chicken tax was a set of tariffs on various foods and light trucks from Europe. Most of the restrictions were lifted except the light truck tax. Most manufacturers worked around it by importing incomplete vehicles and final assembly here, or classifying them as passenger vehicles and installing cheap throw away seats.

I like it too. I wouldn't buy one but it's pretty cool. My sentiments exactly ... Reasons: 1. Couldn't afford it, until it had pretty much aged out, even a v6 one would likely be $40k plus 2. See above I miss my 1st gen Dakota 5.2, my '87 Toyota pickup, etc. I don't need a pu that I need a ladder to get into, either the cab or the bed. A first gen Dakota with a 3.6 and 8 spd, that would get my attention.
It takes gasoline to interest me.

I'm with P Body and will keep my 2 84's.
But last I knew this new Rampage was disco'ed due to PC issues. Too many school rampages makes some upset with the name.

I love the old Rampage, but I laughed out loud when I saw this ridiculous looking thing. The same styling school drop-outs who designed the new Ram trucks were obviously involved. THere is zero continuity between the front and the back, the GM front end makes me gag.

Ford liked the 1978 Dodge Omni 024 so much they copied it and made the 1979 Mustang in 5/4 scale. Almost exact same styling.

One of my two is on the road. It is a Shelby Version 2.2 5 speed, 3.56:1. But was crash damaged so they put a standard 84 frontend on and repainted. I have converted it to 5 on 100mm and BIG MiniVan brakes. it has 215/60 15's on Shelby pumpers.
Second one is also a 84 auto and a Glasstight canopy. This one is getting a 5.9 Stroker 408/410 with A500 and a 8 3/4 in the rear soon. Firewall will move back 6 inches.
