Worst I ever experienced was swapping out jets from Prince Sultan AB in the Saudi desert and bringing them back to Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota.

Don't remember what the exact temp swing was, but it was not an easy trip to dress for...

It was so cold this morning , I bumped into my dresser and broke my pajamas

Teens tomorrow. I hate it. Thankfully only for a couple days. We've been above freezing most of the winter.

We've been having it fairly easy this winter, tonight is supposed to get down to the coldest for the season, around 0. Seems pretty bad until I remember last winter where we had a cold snap toward the end of January where it got down to below -20°, so in comparison 0° for one night doesn't seem so terrible after all! Provided my car starts tomorrow AM that is, it seemed to be acting up for a while in November into December like the battery was weak, so even though its been fine so far since the beginning of the year I still am a bit worried.
BTW if you hit Alt 0 1 7 6 on the keyboard right side number area it will type ° so you don't have to substitute using an asterisk. Not sure if there is a way to do this on a phone or tablet though?

She stayed at a family friends moms place in Parrish. Florida sounds like a nice place to visit but I would not want to live there.

I lived here in the early 80's. I am acquainted with the experience. lol

My buddy flew in once for a visit in January and commented about the cold and wind when he got off the plane. I said wind? Oh that. That's all the time. We call that Zero. You'll know if it gets windy. Then I gave him the bit about the "dry cold"...

We were partying in some bar on Albert St and he decides to go see the sights and wanders off in -30F with the above mentioned "breeze" and nothing on his head but a ball cap. Wound up in the hospital with frostbite so bad it's a wonder his ears didn't fall off.

Not quite as drastic, but DFW went from 80° to snow within 24hours about two weeks ago. We've gotten some wild swings.

Well, turn off your AC, (its too early in the year for AC anyway) its sucking all the heat away from us too.

According to the thermometer we have outside, it got down to -12 last night, I think its the 1st time all winter it got below 0 here, pretty unusual for us. I don't believe we ever got above 15 today, but is suppose to be back in the upper 40s by Monday.

All in all, its been a pretty mild winter for us, and I'm OK with that. Gene

Almost a 100 degree swing is a shock for sure

Here in southern AZ. we've had temps in the 30s ( mostly overnight low temps )
We've had A FEW days that didnt climb out of the 50s ,,,,,,but most have been the 60s and 70s and SUNNY so it feels warmer than that. All winter
We've even had a couple rainy days

BUT, car show season is in full swing here . Something going on just about every weekend and Friday nites somewhere
