As I've said before, the Hooker fenderwell headers were a big hit... they hit the tires. They hit the ground. They hit the steering. Etc. ![whistling whistling](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/whistling.gif) Not to mention roasting my (and any passenger's) feet due to the position right behind there. For a drag-only car that you don't mind cutting up, I could see it, but OP wanted street-strip. ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif) Tri-Y's are good up to 450(?) hp. They'd be a good but somewhat limiting choice, depending on his plans for improvements later.

Price a set of custom, stainless and pay more than 2K just for the material. Makes the TTI's a bargain. I don't know how smaller they can make them? FWIW the one's on my 73 Dart Sport 400 B engine are huge. Like 4 ft. long! It's these here. They take up a lot of space and supposedly won't work with power steering. I couldn't get the column gear linkage to work on mine. TTi says MAY need modification. So add $300 for a new cable shifter of your liking if it's auto.

The B body headers sound like a bargain. Nothing wrong with a cheap header if it works. (works well enough for its owner). Maybe a B body Hedman header but their thicker steel Elite series? Still affordable but more durable than entry level thin tube thin flange Hedmans?
Keep old mopars alive.

What you will save in $$$$$ you will gain in headaches!! TTI or Proparts. I put Proparts in the Valiant and was amazed how easy they went in.
