64 push button 904 .bs session talking about putting late model 904,low gear set, lockup guts into a 64 push button trans. we know 64 trans has rear pump and bracket on vb that move manual valve is different. we also heard that imperial services(we think that is correct) will change over a later trans to work with your pb setup. anything we are not seeing/thinking about that would prevent this change over? thanks in advance.

imperial services have many reports about not returning your valvebody and pushbutton assembly in a timely fashion when you sent it in for that modification.
however, it seems that a reputable transmission company recently bough out imperial services [A&A perhaps ?], so if someone could confirm if this is true, i would be contacting them instead.

I talked to A&A at Carlisle and they seem to have taken that over. He sells the kits to convert the cable column and console shifts to the later trans too. The column and console shifters don't need anything but his cable kit but you have to send your pushbutton shifter in to him to be modified to work with the new cable control.

He had them in stock for sale.
