Always thought this stripe never saw the light of day, but the copy below suggests it was dealer-installed. So did it ever make it to the parts counter?

Yes they did. There is a local Hemi Charger that the original owner put them on right aftr he took delivery. Also bought at the parts counter some good sized 426 decals for the hood.
