I am trying to finish up this transmission and came to a stand still. I am working with a 67 trans with the Hurst conversion shifter to use the inland shifter lever. I had no levers or rods to start with. I have what I thought were the right parts, but nothing seems to be lining up. The trans is in neutral in this picture. All the rods seem to be to short. Do I have the wrong rods, or am I being a dunce here

Thanks
Dan.

This is from a 68 service manual. Since your using a hurst with a inland shifter conversion, you may be better off to get with Brewers Performance or Passon Performance for the correct parts.

Looks to me like the mounting plate could be wrong, the rods look correct. What is the number on the back of the aluminum plate? Should be 6348
If it is 6350 it is for an A body and will cause the rods to be short.

Dan, you nailed it. I didn't know there were different mounting plates. The one I had on the transmission has a hurst #2298 on it. I found in my stash a 6348 and put it on. Everything lined up What does a 2298 fit?

Thanks!
Dan.

You guys beat me to it, I too have a B-body that somehow got the A-body adapter.
B-body linkage and adapter attached.
