I have a 1973 Duster with the Parchment Metallic seat covers which are basically white. The door panels are also Parchment, the dash and steering column is Dark Parchment. The 1972 dated carpet (which I threw away 15 years ago) was kind of goldish but not sure if it was original to the car. The package tray was covered in household carpet. I'm trying to order the correct carpet color and package tray color.

My choices on package tray colors are: tan, dark brown, or black. I'm thinking tan. Which would it have been?

My choices on carpet color are: parchment, medium parchment, saddle, light saddle, medium/light saddle, medium saddle, dark saddle, black. I'm thinking the Medium Parchment to go with the dash and steering column. Which would it have been?

Any help is appreciated.
Dave

Did your carpet look like this?:

My '77 Aspen has a Parchment interiro with darker lower dash and kick panels, with a gold-ish carpet, which is original. HTH some.

On all the original Mopars I've owned, the rear package trays have been the darker shade used elsewhere in the interior: for example, B7 in a B5 interior, F8 in F5, etc. My Dusters are/were both about the same shade as the dash, if not a bit darker. When in doubt, I'd probably go with the darker option so it doesn't reflect into the rear window.

I just sold my low mileage 73 Duster a year ago,and it had the Parchment interior-all original. The door panels and seats were the sparkly pearlescent looking off white, the dash, and column was an odd beige tone-probably the same as yours, and the package tray was the same. The carpet in my car was a medium brown shade, cut pile

Thanks for the help, since there isn't a sample to send to Legendary, it's kind of tough to guess on the correct colors.

Legendary sent me a chart, Parchment is correct for the carpet, so I'm good there.
The chart shows the package tray as Dark Parchment but they only offer tan or brown. Any ideas? Or does this need to be dyed at the same time as the new dash pad?

I have a 73 Dart with a Metallic Parchment interior also. If you look very close you'll seen there are green tones in the dash pad and even in the carpet, as well as the painted surfaces. I had a local paint supply place match some paint for these surfaces, then sent a sample to Just Dashes where they mixed the dye to the same color.
I have all the information here some where if you need/want it on the colors I used for the dye, paint ,and carpet. Good luck!

440abody, do you go with the Parchment carpet like the Plymouth chart says?
Legendary said I would have to dye a package tray and dash pad to the Dark Parchment, which is OK with me since I'd like to freshen up the steering wheel too, they always fade to a reddish tan color.

I went with the #34 Fawn Sandlewood as it best matched my sample of the original I took from under the sill plate. The package tray I painted with the same paint I used for the dash. If you need the paint code I can provide that also. I have a picture of th einterior some where I'll try to find it and post it later.

Thanks. Did you replace the dashpad, if so, where did you buy it and what is the quality like?

I had a good dash pad, just redyed it. I think BE&A have the best quality pad from what I have been reading.

I have a 1973 Dealer showroom book with all the cars and color samples for paint, and interior
It is a big dealer hard cover book.I can look at it in the morn.
My car had Loop carpet in it but was a very late 73 built 8/73
Guess one of the last 340's almost makes it rare
