tires will fit but the offset on the rims needs to be checked. they may be off set to far out and will rub on the quarter lip

With the right backspace wheel the tire should fit...

Without that information it's a crap shoot...

Assuming the rear is of stock width...

I have a 28" x 8" slick on my 69 with no modifications to the 1/4's or wheel wells...

The wheel is a 50/50 offset with 3 1/2" back but is only 6" wide...

I also have my 8 3/4" rear shortened 1" on each side because the wheels I wanted to use were never made with a lot of backspace...

I do have a 3/8" plate of steel in front of the leaf spring hanger to slide the rear back so that they were not too close at the front at the bottom...
