I put some Harland Sharps on some 240 trick flows. And have .004 rocker arm side clearance .
Seems odd they move pretty freely, but. I thought this was unusual some are even less, anyone experience this?
Probably going to machine .015 off the spacers

They are what they are.

Make adjustments as necessary.

I spent some time with new HS with the heads on the bench. I had a few different sizes of spacers to play with and may have done some grinding/sanding on the hold downs. I made sure they were all centered with plenty of clearance. My T&D's are kinda tight and I didn't mess with them. Both sets are still running flawlessly.

I would be OK with .005 or .006. Don't want them sloppy loose, don't want them tight either. I spent the time making them all equal and centered on the valve.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
